Asteroid I explores the quiet relationship between celestial events and the natural world. Inspired by the idea of fragments travelling across time and space, the work combines reclaimed driftwood gathered from Scotland's coastline with weathered steel, beach bone and layered acrylic to create a composition that feels both ancient and contemporary.
Each element has been shaped by its own journey. Driftwood carries the marks of the North Atlantic, weathered by decades of tides and storms, while the rusted steel and organic forms suggest fragments brought together through chance, erosion and time.
Rather than depicting an asteroid literally, the sculpture invites the viewer to consider the unseen connections between the cosmos, the oceans and the landscapes that continue to shape our planet. The work remains open to interpretation, encouraging reflection on origin, transformation and the enduring passage of time.

Triffid Tide
Part sculpture, part living installation, Triffid Tide explores the relationship between nature, erosion and renewal. Constructed from reclaimed driftwood gathered from Scotland's coastline, weathered iron recovered from the shoreline and living air plants, the work celebrates the beauty of materials shaped by the sea and transformed through time.
The rusted organic forms appear to emerge naturally from the timber, creating a composition that blurs the boundaries between sculpture and living art. The addition of air plants introduces an evolving element, bringing subtle movement, texture and life to the piece while reinforcing the principles of Biophilic design.
Every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are ever identical. Whether displayed indoors or within a sheltered outdoor setting, Triffid Tide offers a striking focal point that connects contemporary interiors with the raw beauty of Scotland's coastline.

North Atlantic Throne
Handcrafted from reclaimed driftwood gathered along Scotland's rugged coastline, North Atlantic Throne is a monumental sculptural work celebrating the beauty of weathered timber and the enduring power of the sea.
Standing 1.8 metres tall, the sculpture transforms naturally sculpted driftwood into an imposing yet organic form that appears to have been shaped by decades of tides, storms and salt water. Every branch, curve and surface retains the marks of its previous journey, preserving the history of the material while creating an entirely new narrative.
More than a chair, North Atlantic Throne is a statement sculpture—inviting contemplation, interaction and conversation. It reflects Keith Banks' fascination with reclaimed materials, natural forms and the stories embedded within objects shaped by time.
